What ExamTarikh collects, why it is collected and the choices you have. Last updated: 11 October 2026.
This policy explains what information ExamTarikh (examtarikh.in) collects, why it is collected and what choices you have. ExamTarikh is an independent guide site for Indian government exams. It is operated by Devesh Sunil Tatkare.
Usage data. We use Google Analytics, through the Site Kit plugin, to count visits, pages viewed, device type, browser and approximate location. This data does not identify you by name.
Contact form. When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you choose, any page link you add and your message. The message is emailed to us and a copy is stored on our website so we can reply and track corrections.
Comments. If you leave a comment, we store the name, email address and IP address you submit, along with the comment. Your email address is not shown publicly. Comments are checked by an anti-spam plugin.
Push notifications. If you allow browser notifications, our push provider Webpushr stores a token that identifies your browser so it can deliver notifications. You can turn this off at any time in your browser settings.
Security logs. Our security and hosting services record technical details such as IP address and browser type to block attacks and spam.
Accessibility settings. If you change text size or contrast with the accessibility button, those choices are saved in your own browser so they stay the same on your next visit.
We show ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. You can also read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. You can block or delete them in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as expected if you block them.
We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the services named on this page (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Webpushr, our hosting provider and our security tools) so they can provide their services to us.
We keep contact messages, comments and emails only as long as they are useful for replying to you, fixing a guide or keeping the site safe. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of Google Analytics.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India, you can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, and you can withdraw consent you have given. To make a request or raise a concern, use our contact page and choose the topic Something else. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
Some exams covered on ExamTarikh, such as school-level, scholarship and entrance exams, are taken by students under 18. Anyone can read our guides and use our calculators without giving us any personal data.
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before you use the contact form, leave a comment or allow notifications. We do not ask for more information than we need to reply, and we do not knowingly use personal data of students under 18 for tracking or targeted advertising.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal data, tell us through our contact page and we will delete it.
Our guides link to official exam websites and other third-party sites. We do not control their content or privacy practices.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
